Art Exhibition
Thank you to all the parents who bought the pictures produced by their children. It was a very successful exercise and we made £200 for the school. It was an extremely worthwhile activity as the children were so proud of their exhibit. It is something that I am sure we will repeat.
Start of School
Thank you to all the parents who have helped the children become accustomed to the different start to the day. The classrooms are much calmer and the learning can start very promptly. If you need to speak to a Teacher please make an appointment with the School office, appointments will be scheduled after school. Teachers do not have time to discuss problems with parents in the morning, as we want to maximise the learning time for the children.
We would ask that pushchairs are kept outside school buildings as they create a health and safety issue. When the teachers have closed the doors any children who arrive after this time should go to the School Office to gain entry.
The new door at the Office is an extra security measure to prevent unauthorised entry into school. All entry should be registered at the Office.
Internet Safety
It has come to our notice that many of the children are registered on the BEBO internet site. It is a popular means of communication but easily open to abuse by those who wish to prey on young people. There are adults who register as young people and pretend to share their interests.
Here are some simple guidelines:-
Caterhouse have advised us of the following changes to the School Menu:
Week 1 Tuesday’s main dinner will be Chicken Pie and Mashed Potato not Chicken Chow Mein
Week 2 Tuesday’s main dinner will be Shepherds Pie not Moussaka
Friday’s main dinner will be Salmon Fish Cakes and Mashed Potato/Chips not Herby
Haddock and Chips
Week 3 Wednesday’s vegetarian dinner will be Cheese Flan not Vegetable Chow Mein
Friday’s main dinner will be Salmon and Tuna Pasta Bake not Fisherman’s Pie
Friday’s vegetarian dinner will be Pizza not Macaroni Cheese.
Yours Sincerely
