The school day starts at 8.50am on each weekday with the children lining up in the main playground. The class teachers will lead the children to their classrooms to call the Attendance Register and the Dinner Register, and then the children go into the hall for Assembly.

There is a morning break from 10.30am to 11am. Weather permitting, the children play outside in the playground or on the playing field (unless the weather has recently been very wet), where they are supervised by two duty teachers. Fruit and milk are available for purchase in school for 10 pence. Children are not permitted to eat sweets or biscuits.

Lunch break takes place between 12 and 1 o'clock. School meals are served and packed lunches eaten in the hall, and the children play outside in the playground and on the playing field. Four midday controllers supervise the children during this break. During wet lunch breaks, the children undertake activities in the classrooms. Two Buddies help with supervision in Reception and Years 1 and 2.

The Attendance Register is called again at 1 o'clock when the children have returned to their classrooms.

School finishes at 3.15pm.
