The Curriculum

Children in the Reception class and the Nursery follow the objectives of the Foundation Stage.

The National Curriculum brings the year groups together to form Key Stages.  Years 1 and 2 form Key Stage 1 and Years 3, 4, 5 and 6 form Key Stage 2. The children in Year 2 (at the end of Key Stage 1) and the children in Year 6 (at the end of Key Stage 2) undertake formal assessments, called Standard Assessment Tests (or SATs for short).  These take place during the month of May.
