It is a great disappointment to discover that many parents do not receive these weekly letters. Children may need to be prompted to deliver it safely to you. If you do not get your copy there is always a spare available from the clear wall pockets outside the school office.

School Production of Peter Pan

This year’s production was a great success. However, we did have quite a few unexplained absences on Wednesday which necessitated recasting at the last minute. Despite this it was a pleasure to see the pride that the children took in their performance. Thank you to everyone who attended. The sale of the tickets for all the performances raised a total of £278.80, which as always will be used for the benefit of the children.

Mrs Robinson

As we come to the end of the term we say ‘Goodbye’ to Mrs Robinson.  She had planned to leave on Wednesday to await the birth of her third child.  However, she was advised to ‘rest’ yesterday so she may not be back this term. We say thank you to her for working in both Reception and Year 1 for the last two terms.  Our good wishes go to her and her family.

Her replacement Ms Lucas will be teaching the children for the remainder of this term.  This will make for a very smooth transition.

Christingle Service   -  Monday 17th 10.00 at St John’s Church.

The children from Reception to Year 6 will be walking down to the church on Monday morning for the Christingle Service led by the Vicar Lisa Cornwell.

You are all welcome to join us.

Princess Square Bracknell  - Tuesday 18th

The choir will go into Princess Square in Bracknell on Tuesday at 12.00 to sing some Christmas and Peter Pan songs.  They are going to wear their costumes from the play.  We really need some help with lifts to take 26 children.  If you are able to help with lifts please speak to Mrs Smith or leave a message in the office.

The choir are having a very busy time this year and will also be singing for COATS on Monday afternoon. The children will walk into the village and no help with transport will be required on this occasion.

Children’s Christmas outing

The whole school outing to watch ‘Peter Pan on Ice’ at the John Nike Leisure Centre was a success. It was a very enjoyable day for all concerned and a fun part of the run up to the Christmas festivities. A big thank you to all the members of the School Association, who work so hard to fund this trip.
