Thank you to everyone who supported the coffee morning last Friday, we are pleased to say that we raised £129 for the Royal British Legion Poppy Appeal. We will be notified of the collection box totals in due course.
Children in Need
Thank you to everyone who contributed to this charity and dressed in yellow for the day.
Christmas Lunch
This is a whole school experience which we encourage all children to be a part of, so if at all possible please encourage your child to participate. The school has an entertainer coming in the afternoon which the children should all enjoy. ALL envelopes for the Christmas lunch need to be returned by the Friday 23rd November. Please return the envelopes even if your child is not having lunch, this will help us with the necessary organisation. For those children in Reception who do not normally stay to lunch, it is very important that ALL slips/envelopes are returned.
Year 3 Trip to Reading Museum
All year 3?s will be going on a trip to Reading Museum on Thursday 22nd November. Please ensure that all permissions slips and payments have been returned to the school office and that your child?s pack lunch for the day is in a carrier bag. Please ensure all children are in full school Uniform.
School Equipment
Please ensure that your child comes to school with all the equipment they will require for the day and after school clubs. Children should be encouraged to remember for them selves what they need as this will help them develop useful life skills whilst decreasing the amount wasted and distress caused when they find that they do not have what they need.
School Association
Night Walk 16th November
Gather in the hall at 5.30pm. to leave at 6.00. Boots and warm clothes should be worn. Torches are an essential part of the equipment. When we return to school there will be hot soup, hot chocolate, hot dogs, tea and coffee for sale. This was a very enjoyable adventure last year with nearly 100 people taking part. So come along and join this exciting experience.
Christmas Fair
Call all mums, dads and grandparents, can you help at the Christmas Fair, if so please, please, please, put your contact details on the rota which is on the A Frame or pop into the office and leave your details. We continue to collect items for the tombola and many other stalls that will be available on Friday 30th November for you to enjoy yourselves supporting the school.
Book Club
Unfortunately due to the lack of interest the book club will not running this term. If interest picks up will resume in the new year.
If you would like to take a more active part, come and join us at the weekly coffee meetings. To find out more, or contact us at BroadmoorPTA@hotmail.co.uk
