Poppy Appeal
Thank you to everyone who supported the coffee morning today and contributed to The Royal British Legion Poppy Appeal. This charity does an enormous amount of work supporting all those who have been casualties while serving in the British Armed forces. The most recent casualties have been in Iraq and Afghanistan.
Shoe Box Appeal
Thank you to everyone who contributed a shoe box to this worth while cause.
Resources
We have had some incidents of children deliberately breaking school equipment. If this should happen in the future, a letter will be sent home requesting that the children pay for a replacement from their pocket money. We would hope that this would encourage the respect of the many resources which are provided for all children.
Christmas Dinner
A Christmas dinner will be provided for the children on Friday 14th December at a cost of £1.75. This is a whole school experience and we hope that all children will be able to join in. Your child will be bring home an envelope with the choices, which should be returned completed, to the school office as soon as possible.
Lowry Organ
A parent has offered the school a magnificent Lowry organ. We do not have the space to accommodate this and are offering to anyone who would like to give a donation to the school. Please contact the office if you would like more details.
School Association
Night Walk 15th November (Please note change of date)
This will take place next Friday. We will gather in the hall at 5.30pm. to leave at 6.00. Boots and warm clothes should be worn. Torches are an essential part of the equipment. When we return to school there will be hot soup, hot chocolate, hot dogs tea and coffee for sale. This was a very enjoyable adventure last year with nearly 100 people taking part. So come along and join this exciting experience.
Christmas Fair
We are still in need of tombola items for the Christmas fair, so if you able to donate any gifts we would be very grateful. Please place in the green box outside the school office.
All parents are automatically part of the School Association, but if you would like to take a more active part, come and join us at the weekly coffee meetings to find out more, or contact us at BroadmoorPTA@hotmail.co.uk
