Staff Changes in Foundation 1(Nursery)
We have to say goodbye to Mrs Lammas, teaching assistant, who has obtained a new position at Sandhurst Secondary School. We wish her every success in the future. Mrs Kerr, who has to undergo a minor operation will be absent for a short period. Our best wishes go to her for a speedy recovery.
Poppy Appeal
Poppies are for sale at school for a donation of 10p or more.
We will be holding a special assembly on Friday 9th November at 9.15am, to which all parents are invited, this will be followed by a coffee morning, the proceeds of which will be donated to British Legion Poppy Appeal. Everybody is welcome to join us.
Shoe Box Appeal
We will again be collecting boxes for charity this year. If you would like to prepare a box please ask for a leaflet at the office. Filled boxes should be brought to the office by the 12th of November.
Communication between school and home
This term continues to be very busy with events and outings planed for the children. This involves a lot of organisation part of which is the notes and letters that are sent home from the school, it is very important that we have permission slips and any money or paperwork return promptly, and your cooperation would be much appreciated.
School Photographs
All school photographs need to be returned to school by the 7th November, whether required or not.
Safety
It has come to my attention that children have been coming into the school grounds in the morning and going back outside to play. This is not in the best interest of safety for the children, who should be encouraged to play inside the school grounds once they have come through the school gates. Children have also been climbing on the barrier which is there as a safety measure.
Ufton Court Meeting
All parents of year 5 children are reminded that they are invited to the preliminary Ufton Court Meeting which will be held on Wednesday 7th in year 5 classroom at 6.30pm.
School Association
All children will be bring home our distinctive lime green newsletter with bag attached, please read carefully and help where you can. Any and all efforts are much appreciated.
All parents are automatically part of the School Association, but if you would like to take a more active part, come and join us at the weekly coffee meetings to find out more, or contact us at BroadmoorPTA@hotmail.co.uk
