Africa Week
Thank you to all the interesting artefacts which we have been given to enhance the children?s experiences. We were very grateful to Temperance and Mrs Sindane who came in and shared some food which they had prepared and to talk about Zulu customs.
Disco
Key Stage 2 Fancy Dress disco starts at 6.30 the for the children in will cost £1 entry fee. There will be food for sale and sweets will be only available after 7.00pm. Children may bring a friend.
Discipline
I must remind parents that if you have concerns about aspects of school life that could lead to children from different families being involved in disagreements that, in the first instance the situation should be brought to my attention. Any problems involving the children or the school should always be resolved through myself. It is unacceptable that disagreements take place within the grounds of the school, where they can be witnessed by the children. Disagreements of a private nature will naturally be resolved between yourselves, outside of school premises
Raffle prizes
We have two unclaimed raffle prizes from the harvest festival. The numbers are 332 and 253, please bring your ticket in to claim your prize.
The Zone Holiday Club
The club has received funding to run a healthy eating and fitness project during the October half term. A coach will be coming in every morning to provide various sporting activities with the children, also healthy snacks will be made with them in the afternoons.
Please make sure your child has suitable indoor and outdoor foot-ware, plus clothing and jackets for such activities.
Parents that have not already done so, will need to sign a consent form allowing their child to be photographed during the project, as we plan to produce a booklet that will be on sale at the Christmas bazaar. Thank you for your support.
Safety
Children riding bicycles in the school playground need to be aware of the many small children and adults standing and waiting. Parents please supervise your children carefully.
Reminder
School is closed on Monday the 29th October, and will reopen on Tuesday 30th at 8.50am. The Zone will also be closed on the 29th.
Yours sincerely
