SAFETY
I need to remind everyone that there are rules about the use of the climbing equipment in the playground outside of school hours. No children are allowed on the top, nor should they be lifted onto any part of this equipment.
Thank you to those parents who no longer come into the top cloakroom in the morning and who wait outside for their children at the end of the day. The area is now far less congested.
PICKING CHILDREN UP LATE
Children whose parents have not arrived at 3:15pm are brought to the area outside the school office. If you know you are running late, please call the school office to save your child worrying. When you arrive to pick them up, please notify the office or teacher that you have collected your child.
PARENTS EVENING
On Thursday 18th of October there will be an opportunity to speak to teachers about your child's progress and discuss targets for the coming half term. Teachers are available from 2:30 to 7:30. Please make an effort to attend as it is important to work together to improve your children's learning. Please sign on the timetables outside the office.
HARVEST FESTIVAL
we are sure that you all enjoyed our Harvst Concert yesterday, the children did really well learning the words for their songs and poems. Thank you to everyone who contributed to the wonderful 20 boxes which were on display. These were distributed to senior sitizens in the area by Mrs durrant, Mrs Parnell and some children from Year 6.
MACMILLAN CANCER APPEAL
A total of £206 was made yesterday for this worthwhile charity. Thank you to Mrs Pither and Mrs durrant for all the cakes they made and serving the tea and coffee.
MULTI CULTURAL EVENT
Have you lived in africa? Could you talk to the children about your experiences? Please come into school next week and help us answer the children's questions.
THE ZONE AFTER SCHOOL AND HOLIDAY CLUB
Please note annual registration forms were due from September. All children using the club after school or during the holidays, need to re-register, this also includes a annual payment of £10. Onlychildren with up-to-date forms will be allowed to use the club and remain on our register. Please pick up a form from the school office or pop into the club during opening times. can we also remind parents to book now for October half term as there are only a few places remaining. Thank you for your support.
A purse and a pen ( with the name Lewis ) have been handed in to the office. If you think they may be yours please come and speak to mrs Boothby.
SCHOOL ASSOCIATION
DISCO FRIDAY 19th OCTOBER
There will be a Disco for the children in Nuresery and Key Stage 1 at 2pm. For £1 children will have a drink and sweets.
At 6:30 the Fancy Dress Disco for the children in key Stage 2 and will cost £1 - payable on the door. There will be food, drinks for sale and sweets are only availble after 7pm.
FRIDAY 3RD NOVEMBER - BEER AND SKITTLES NIGHT
This event has been arranged to tak place in the school hall for over 18's only. Ticket price is £10 per person and this will include either a fish or a chicken supper.
Tickets will be on sale every morning in the hall from tuesday 30th October from the P.T.A.
FRIDAY 3RD NOVEMBER - NIGHT WALK
Leaving school at 6.00pm. Cost £1 and this will include either hot chocolate or soup. Hot dogs will be available for sale on your return.
All parents are automatically part of the School Association, but if you would like to take a more active part, come and join us at the weekly coffee meetings to find out more or contact us at BroadmoorPTA@hotmail.co.uk
