Multi Cultural Event
We are organising some exciting and interesting events leading up to half term. The work during the week will be focused on Africa. On Friday the 12th we have a Nigerian choir coming to school to entertain the children and to teach them some songs and dances. Later the main area of study will be South Africa. If you have any artefacts or photographs, which you could allow us to use, please contact me or any member of staff. If any of our African parents feel that they could share some experiences (e.g. school life or cooking) with the children again please contact the school.

Contact Details
Due to an error on the off-site permission forms we have to re-issue them for signature. All those forms that have been returned to the office will be reissued showing the details supplied so far. Would all other parents please the re-issued form and we would ask that you return your completed forms to the school office as soon as possible. We apologise for this error, but it is vital that we have up to date contact information for all children. There has been occasion?s this term when we have needed to urgently contact a parent but the telephone numbers on our records were unavailable.

Harvest Festival
On Thursday the 11th of October we will be celebrating harvest in our usual way. We will collect your contributions of food (tins, pasta, biscuits, etc) and put together baskets which will be distributed to local senior citizens. At 9.15am there will be a special assembly for parents and at 2pm there will another performance for invited guests. All children will be taking part so I hope you will support their efforts.

Second Hand Uniform Sale
We will be holding a second hand uniform sale on Friday 5th October after school at 3.15pm. If you have any items of uniform you have no longer have use for, if you bring them into school by Friday, both children and the school can benefit.

Chocolates for Chocoholics
We have some catalogues in reception for any parents who are interested. They have some nice Christmas items and gifts. All orders must be accompanied with payment.

Children?s Absences and Late Arrival
If your child is absent from school due to illness, please contact the school office on the first day of illness. For late arrival due to an appointment, they MUST come into school via the school office and sign in. Should your child need to leave school during the school day, this should also be done via the school office in order they can be signed out.

Yours sincerely
