Staffing Changes for the Autumn Term
We are very pleased with the appointment of Mrs Cotterill as the Deputy Headteacher. I am sure that she will make a success of this new and challenging role. I am looking forward to working closely with her and the rest of the staff in moving the school forward. Our new teachers, Miss Copley and Miss Milstead, in Year 4 and Year 6 respectfully and they are settling in well. We would also like to extend welcome to the new member of staff in the school office, Mrs Boothby.

Donation
At the end of last term two sets of parents from Year 6 gave the school a generous donation of £200. We are going to use this money to purchase a set of anoraks for the school teams. We are extremely grateful to these parents.

Child Minder Wanted from Monday 10th September.
Thank you to the parents who came forward to help this family. They have now resolved the situation.

After School Clubs
We are concerned that children are walking home from after school activities. Please ensure that the teacher responsible knows that you have given your permission for this to happen.

New Parents Meeting
Thank you to the ten parents who came to listen to Nicki Davies and Rauri Hicknell give advice and information on how parents can help and support their children?s learning.

For Sale
Someone connected to the school is having a new kitchen fitted with new appliances. Their existing dishwasher, washing machine, larder fridge, gas hob and oven with grill are available to anyone as long as a donation is given to the school.

Walk on Wednesday
This scheme to encourage more children to stay fit by walking to school, has restarted this term. Please participate in this scheme whenever possible, even if you have to use transport for part of the journey.

Reading
Do you or someone you know have some spare time during the afternoon to come and listen to children read? Year 1 and Year 3 are looking for helpers to assist the children. This practice is necessary to improve children?s reading ability.

Yours sincerely
