Year 1 Reading Museum
Everyone had a good time at the Toy Museum, learning a great deal from the visit and enjoying playing with the toys. Thank you to the School Association for paying the full cost.
Playground development
The playground and field is to be further developed to enhance the play opportunities for the children. The work would include:
* The area around the base of the slide becomes water logged after rain. The area needs to be drained.
* The playground needs to be extended so that the climbing apparatus is accessed more easily.
* We would like to grow our own vegetables and in order to do this we need to clear the Nature Area of some of the trees and then use sleepers to construct raised beds.
Can anyone recommend a Contractor that we could use for this work.
Book Fair
The shop will be open Monday 4th February to Thursday 7th February from 8.30 to 8.45 and 3.15 to 3.45. It will held in the Library or Hall depending on after school activities.
Year 4 Assembly
Year 4’s Class Assembly will be on Friday 8th February, starting at 9.15am. Parents are welcome to join us.
Zone Holiday Club
The Zone will be running the Holiday Club from 18-22 February. Places are limited so please book early. All children need to be registered and all payments need to be made in advance. Thank you for your support.
Car Parking
The safety of the children is of continuing concern to the School and we would ask parents to park sensibly and safely in the road outside the School. For reasons of safety parents are reminded that the School car park is for staff only and should not be used by parents during school hours.
Clothing Collection
If you have any second hand clothing, blankets, toys or other items you would like to donate to the School, we have collection bags available in Reception and would appreciate any donations. This campaign is run by the School Association and raises money for the school.
