Dear Parents, Star of the Week Reception Millie Babb Year 1 Emily Mahadeo Year 2 Elouise Williams Year 3 James Hall Year 4 Millie Crocker Year 5 India Luno Year 6 Ellie Tallman Year 4 Assembly I am sure that you all enjoyed this morning’s interesting assembly with its use of the computer to tell stories. The project has really inspired the children to write. Year 5 Assembly Year 5 will be taking assembly next Friday 15th February. Please come along at 9.15am and support your children. Fiddler on the Roof Year 6 will be walking to Edgbarrow on Tuesday by 9.30am to watch the final rehearsal of this musical. They will not return to school until 12.30pm. It is suggested that they bring a packed lunch to school so that this can be eaten during the interval. They will be accompanied by Ms. Milstead and Mrs. Giles. If you child is eligible for a Free School Meal please notify the Office if you would like a packed lunch to be provided. Half Term The school and Nursery will be closed from Monday the 18th to the 22nd of February. School will close at the normal time of 3.15pm. School and Nursery will start on Monday 25th February.at 8.50am Volvo Scheme If anyone is planning to buy a new or used Volvo car during 2008, Alan Gibson Volvo in Basingstoke has offered to donate £100 to the School for any Volvo Car sold from their garage. Full details are available from the School Office. Girls Football Team We have been contacted by AFC Crowthorne who are looking for girls to join their Under 10 team. Girls need to be Under 10 on 31st August 2008. If you are interested please contact Neil or Lisa on 01344 773386. Tesco SportsVouchers If anyone still has Tesco Sports Vouchers could they please hand them in to the School Office as soon as possible so they can be put towards new sports equipment for the School . NHS Public Consultation The East Berkshire NHS is starting a public consultation process on the delivery of NHS Health Services and Facilities in East Berkshire and are interested in your views. Various consultation meetings have been set up, if you would like further details please contact the School Office. School Association Valentines Dance Friday February 15th Tickets for this event will be on sale in the School Hall on Monday 11th February both before and after school. The Committee would like to remind parents that they are responsible for their children during social events and that no child should be outside alone, they MUST be accompanied by an adult. The alcohol licence states that no children are allowed in or near the bar. The licence could be revoked and renewal refused if we were found to violate these rules. Please co-operate with us to enforce these guidelines. Anyone wishing to smoke will need to leave the school site to do so. All parents are automatically part of the School Association, but if you would like to take a more active part, come and join us at the weekly coffee meetings to find out more, or contact us at BroadmoorPTA@hotmail.co.uk
