Year 6 - East Berkshire Junior Citizen's event

Year 6  will be participating in the East Berkshire Junior Citizen's event at Thames Valley Community Centre in Slough on Tuesday 3rd June. The event is designed to give children information on a number of important safety issues including fire safety, water safety, road safety, railway safety, first aid and anti-social behaviour.

The event runs from 12:30 to 14:30 and the children will travel by coach leaving school at 11:45 and returning by 15:15.

Children will need to bring a packed lunch to eat at school before they leave.

As part of the event Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service are planning to run a live "Keep Low In Smoke" scenario. This will mean the children exposed to synthetic smoke of low density for a maximum of 30 seconds. This activity is of low risk but may aggravate asthma. Please fill in the form your child brought home to say that you are happy for them to participate in the activity
